Knitted cable hats are always nice to wear in cold winter times.   
Cables are classic and  definitely create thicker fabric.  And there is no doubt that cable hats are very stretchy for ultimate comfort. 
 
The pattern features 3 sizes  which are small kids/ big kids and average adults .
You can definitely get instant satisfaction from this project.  I also pair the hat with the  same textured cowl for a compete look.

Yarn: Drops Extra Merino Fine  1 ball (100g ) for all sizes   (DK weight yarn) 
Needles: 4mm/ 4.5mm  40cm/16 inches circular needle for round knitting and 4 4.5mm dpns. 
Tension: 1 cable repeat is 4cm in width and 3.5cm in height . 
Sizes:  Small kids/ Big kids / Average Adult 
Finished size without stretch:  40cm/ 44cm/ 48cm  ( The finished hat is very stretchy)
